# Datenimport (SWOT ETL)

Der [**SWOT ETL**](/handbuch/swot_etl.md) ermöglicht den Import von **Stamm- und Faktendaten** in den **SWOT Cube**. Das Modul stellt Funktionen bereit, mit denen mehrere Datentransformationsvorgänge in einem **ETL Job** zusammengefasst und mit einem Klick ausgeführt werden können. Ein solcher Job kann dabei Stamm- oder Bewegungsdatensätze **erstellen, aktualisieren oder löschen**.

Unterschiedliche Datenquellen sowie verschiedene ETL-Vorgänge lassen sich innerhalb eines **ETL-Projekts** bündeln. Ein ETL-Projekt bildet eine strukturierte Sammlung von **Regeln und Metadaten**, die den gesamten Datenintegrationsprozess definieren.

Innerhalb eines ETL-Projekts werden insbesondere folgende Komponenten organisiert:

* **Verbindungen**\
  Informationen zu den Datenquellen, beispielsweise ODBC-, OLE DB- oder Dateiverbindungen.
* **Extrakts**\
  Regeln zur Abfrage und Extraktion der Quelldaten.
* **Transformationen**\
  Regeln zur Aufbereitung, Anpassung und Strukturierung der extrahierten Daten.
* **Ladevorgänge**\
  Regeln zum Laden der Stamm- oder Faktendaten in den **SWOT Cube**.
* **ETL-Jobs**\
  Kombinationen aus Extrakten, Transformationen und Ladevorgängen, die gemeinsam als ausführbare Prozesse definiert sind.
